Linda is the lady who plays the guitar. One day while she
was practicing, her guitar stopped producing music, so she
asked it why & it's reply was, "Pick on someone your own size!!
"badda-bing" She not only plays her guitar but you
can also hear her sing. Ya
know she's known to lock her keys in her truck quite a lot. Well
one day the band had a rehearsal & it happened AGAIN! Everyone
was standing there wondering how to get the Lincoln unlocked so
she could get her equipment out. Ya know, it took three
hours to get the drummer out of that darn Lincoln?!!
LINDA has this to say
...... I have been interested in
music since I was a little girl. My grandmother played piano and
every time we would visit I would get her to play. My grandfather
played the fiddle and my dad played saxaphone. My uncle, dad's
brother, played turmpet.
The family played dances all
over northern Vermont so I had an ear for music. At nine years
old I bought a $12 guitar. It took me 12 weeks to pay for it by
babysitting. At that time I only got $1 a night to babysit.
A girl friend of my sisters
showed me the chords. I practiced for many moons. When I came
to Florida in '87 I played for hours with a fiddle player just
for our own enjoyment.
I started going to jams three
to four nights a week. I love playing guitar and play every time
I get the chance. I was real excited when I was asked to join
the Southern Breeze Dance Band. It's a great group!

ANNE TICKLES THE IVORY'S
Sitting at the keyboard is Anne. She's been playing for
a while too. Anne has played the piano for quite some
time now. The keyboard is much easier to tote around,
so the girls asked her to switch just for their own sake.
The transition went well. Anne is a credit to
the group.
ANNE HAS THIS TO SAY ...... "I
have been playing with fiddle and guitar players for the past
twelve years. I accompanied school and church choirs and after
retiring, I have enjoyed playing at a variety of clubs in
the sunny south.
For two years I played Keyboard for
a variety band, "Guys & Gals" in Arizona. At
present, it is a real pleasure to play with the Southern Breeze
Dance Band."
